My, what an emotional week! The news started out with hurricane warnings for

Last Thursday night, I kept praying, "God, please let me know how these pastors are doing." At
Their son, Darrell Worley, pastors the Picayune, MS Assembly of God church, which is about an hour away from Kiln, MS. We also ministered in that church in February. Darrell's father told us that the Picayune church received only minor damage. Within hours, their huge parking lot was being used by rescue and relief operations such as Convoy of Hope, Salvation Army, and James Robison's outreach ministry. As of last Friday, they had already found 87 bodies from just that little area in Picayune. Unfortunately, they have only just begun. It is so sad! We also ministered in the

"Greetings! Thanks for sharing with us yesterday! One point which I thought was particularly good was when Larry said that
God was returning for a church without wrinkle or blemish. Coupled with your newsletter about how the church needs to be in the business of
soul-winning, the overall message was true to the Gospel. Many people around the nation have grown complacent with their faith, especially sharing it, plus remembering the joy of our salvation. Thank you for helping us to remember what we are saved from; I expect true life changes through the Spirit because of your message."

"We were privileged to have Larry & Gloria at Wadena Assembly of God church this past Sunday. Even though it was a holiday weekend, we had good attendance. People love Larry & Gloria and the Spirit of the Lord that they bring with them. People will come out where they know the Lord is blessing and people are being ministered to. The music and testimonies were challenging and refreshing for all ages. Larry gave a short message, calling people to make a commitment to Jesus. Many responded in recommitment to the Lord. There were also several who made first time commitments. One recommitment was a young man who will be going to

"It was really nice having Larry and Gloria come to our church and minister. They have such an awesome presence around them. God has blessed them with an effective ministry. I like how they share their testimonies and intertwine it with their music ministry, it's really neat. They are able to connect with the adults and teens and show true interest. Having the Lundstroms minister is a great privilege."

Robyn Refsland
On the lighter side, Larry and I had the joy of taking Dante, Myanna and LaDawn to the Minnesota State Fair for a few hours over the holiday weekend. Of course, we started out at the "Corn Roast" and the fried cheese curd stand-definitely not diet food! Ha! Then we proceeded to enjoy all the rest of the fun that the fair has to offer. I was very limited in my walking, but it was great getting out and being able to walk a couple blocks or so. Praise the Lord! We met Larry's brothers Lowell and Leon Lundstrom there. It was nice for the three brothers to spend a few hours relaxing together.
It is hard to believe that we're already into September and fall is almost here. The year has truly flown by, more quickly than I could ever imagine. The Bible reminds us to "count our days." I'd like to rephrase it-Gloria's version would be "make your days count; and also make them account for something that is worthwhile." I'm reminded of a plaque my pastor had in his office when I was a teenager. It read, "Only one life will soon be past; only what's done for Christ will last." Larry and I are spending our days doing what the Lord has called us to do-sharing the simple Gospel message, and leading people to Christ.
Again, have a blessed week!

You spend the first two years of their life teaching them to walk and talk. Then you spend the next sixteen telling them to sit down and shut up.
Grandchildren are God's reward for not killing your own children.
Mothers of teens now know why some animals eat their young.
Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said.
The main purpose of holding children's parties is to remind yourself that there are children more awful than your own.
We childproofed our homes--but they are still getting in.
Household Tip
Increase the life of your broom
Soak a new broom in strong, hot salt water before using. This toughens the bristles and makes the broom last longer.
