What concerns me the most is the longer I serve God, walk with God, and the deeper my relationship grows with Him - do I carry a likeness of Him, a resemblance of His character? When people meet me do they associate my smile, my talk, my actions and integrity with my spiritual mate, Jesus Christ?
Whom Do You Resemble?
Driving down the highway the other day we stopped at a traffic light, and I glanced at the car next to us. I took one look... then I took a closer look...and proceeded to burst out in laughter. The scene I observed was this: A man, woman and their pet dog perched between them all staring out the front window - no kidding - by their side profiles they all looked alike. It reminded me of the statement, "You know you've been married a long time when you resemble your spouse."
In this case, even the dog resembled the couple. Well, Gloria and I don't have a pet dog, and I personally don't think Gloria and I resemble each other, but this occurrence is common. Researchers have proven that over time husbands and wives deepen in their habit of mimicking one another, especially facial expressions which in turn affects the location of wrinkles, the bearing or tilt of the head and overall expressions.
Eventually, a distinct likeness develops that makes spouses appear to resemble one another more than they did when they were first married. Well - that's neither here nor there - take it or leave it!
What concerns me the most is the longer I serve God, walk with God, and the deeper my relationship grows with Him - do I carry a likeness of Him, a resemblance of His character? When people meet me do they associate my smile, my talk, my actions and integrity with my spiritual mate, Jesus Christ? I hope so.

Needless to say, it was rough on our schedule, but we continued to trust in God. We prayed and ask God, "Now what?" We felt God lay on our hearts to "GO and FIND hurting and discouraged people (this is not hard to do) and minister hope and encouragement to them." It happened! It has truly been an exciting time of just being at the right place at the right time with God's chosen people.

"By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."John 13:35
The lifestyle of the Babemba Tribe in South Africa was featured a number of years ago in a television documentary on Apartheid. Within that community, antisocial or criminal behavior is rare. However, when it does occur the Bambemba have an interesting and beautifully creative way of dealing with it….
If a member of the tribe acts irresponsibly, he or she is placed in the center of the village. Work stops, and every man, woman and child in the village gathers around the accused in a large circle. One at a time, each individual, including the children, call out all the good things the person in the center of the ring has done previously. All the positive attributes and the kind acts are recited carefully and at length. No one is permitted to exaggerate or be facetious. It's serious business!

As some of you may already know, I spend a lot of time on booking our itinerary of services. Due to the advance calendar planning that churches do, I usually have to call and book about six months to one year ahead of time in order to be included on a church's schedule. When talking to the pastor of a given church, I always describe what our ministry is all about. A few weeks ago, I had made a phone call and explained to a pastor that we would be coming through his area in a year. I told him that we provide music and altar calls, and that our total purpose is to see people come to Christ...
