3. At least once a day I will praise something about my children and be wary of excessive criticism.
4. I will give my children freedom and privacy and teach them the proper use of both.
Resolutions for Parents
1. I will show my children daily that I love them - by what I say and what I do.
2. I will go regularly with my children to church, recognizing that religion will give us both strength and guidance in a family relationship.
3. At least once a day I will praise something about my children and be wary of excessive criticism.
4. I will give my children freedom and privacy and teach them the proper use of both.
5. I will listen to my children and make opportunities for them to talk with me - never being too busy.
6. I will keep our home usable for the children's activities, a place for hobbies, storage for personal treasures, and a ready welcome for their friends.
7. I will do these things with my children as well as for them: read, walk, picnic, sight-see, visit.
8. When I am tired and nervous, I will be extra careful before I speak.
9. I will recognize and respect my children's individual personalities and not expect them to be of the same pattern.
10. I will keep the promises I make to my children, and teach them to be dependable.
