Larry and Gloria are in Mississippi! How wondrous that no matter where they may be, God opens up opportunities to share the Good News! Enjoy this encounter!

Greetings from Mississippi! It is a beautiful, warm, steamy day here in Ocean Springs, MS!

We are snuggled tightly into a small RV park. If you open your shades, you can look into the next person's living room window. It really is a quiet place which allows Larry and I quality time to get office work done. About 4:30 PM, we get cabin fever and have to get out.

couple nights ago, we drove about 15 minutes over to Biloxi, MS. It was a beautiful drive along the ocean and over the huge expanded bridges. Before we approached the massive bridge going into Biloxi, we drove along a residential road that went by a bayou. It was so beautiful until my eyes fell upon the image of a huge 8-10 foot alligator. In about the distance of a ¼ of a block, there was a small fishing boat trying to catch supper…..you wouldn't catch me out there! HA! Larry and I don't venture into the sport of wrestling alligators! We then went to a seafood restaurant as we were greatly craving crab legs. We hadn't had them for about two years. We saw a restaurant sign advertising "all you can eat crab legs". It didn't take Larry long to pull the rig into the parking lot!

We filled our plates with our first helping. Larry cracked and ate a few crab legs and then turns to me, "Honey, I will be back in a few minutes." As he was getting up, he picked up three sugar packets….and I knew right away he was on the hunt to share the Gospel with someone. He sauntered on over to a table about 10 feet away and greeted a couple that we had visited with earlier while waiting to be seated. We had fun visiting and joking. I have to say this…food is a big, immense deal for Larry so for him to leave his food, I knew it had to be something serious! I can truthfully say after being married to Larry for almost 52 years, when Larry has the opportunity to witness to someone…one-on-one….it is more appetizing and rewarding to him than eating! I watched them chatting and laughing as they visited. I then saw him pull out the three sugar packets as he asked if he could share something with them. About 10-15 minutes later, I saw them bow their heads to pray. A few minutes later, the three of them came to our table and they were ecstatic and glowing. Larry asked the wife to share what she and her husband had just done. She bubbled with joyful tears, "We prayed a prayer and asked Jesus to come into our hearts and lives." She then added, "Things like this just don't happen. I believe God brought you to us here tonight, at this place and time, just for us!" Larry encouraged them to get involved in their good Bible-believing church. As Larry would say, "They were ripe to receive the Gospel and ripe to receive Christ."

I love observing and so appreciate the courage Larry has to witness. Two days ago, he witnessed to a prodigal Uber driver. Yesterday, he witnessed to the beautician who cut his hair. That's what I love about Larry….he sees everyone as "lost" until he knows they are "saved".

We will be heading out this week to Texas. With all those violent storms in the south, I keep my eye on the weather app on my phone so we can travel between the storm fronts moving through.

Have a great day, week and month! Blessings on you!

Gloria

{Chuckle/Reflection}

THE BUZZARD

If you put a buzzard in a pen that is 6 feet by 8 feet and is entirely open at the top,
The bird, in spite of its ability to fly, will be an absolute prisoner.
The reason is that a buzzard always begins a flight from the ground with a run of 10 to 12 feet.

Without space to run, as is its habit, it will not even attempt to fly,
But will remain a prisoner for life in a small jail with no top.
--------------------------------------------------------------
THE BAT

The ordinary bat that flies around at night, a remarkable nimble creature in the air,
Cannot take off from a level place.

If it is placed on the floor or flat ground, all it can do is shuffle about helplessly and,
No doubt, painfully, until it reaches some slight elevation from which it can throw itself into the air.  Then, at once, it takes off like a flash.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
THE BUMBLEBEE

A bumblebee, if dropped into an open tumbler, will be there until it dies, unless it is taken out.

It never sees the means of escape at the top, but persists in trying to find some way out
Through the sides near the bottom.
It will seek a way where none exists, until it completely destroys itself.

PEOPLE

In many ways, we are like the buzzard, the bat, and the bumblebee.
We struggle about with all our problems and frustrations, never realizing that all we have to do is look up!

That's the answer, the escape route and the solution to any problem..just look up!

{Recipe}

Crab Meatballs

1 pkg frozen crabmeat, flaked and drained

2 Tbsp prepared horseradish

2 large pkg cream cheese, softened

Mix everything together and shape into little balls and place in refrigerator until they get firm.  Roll them in Ritz crackers crumbs.

{Household Hint}

Sleepy in the shower, it's easy to mistake the shampoo for the conditioner, and vice versa. Tired of squinting at the bottles in the steam? Wrap a rubber band around the shampoo bottle to find it by feel, every time
